Aline Min Peng Tso was deeply caring to many people; as a daughter, as a sister, as a Spouse, as a teacher, as a mother, as a Grandmother, and as a Friend. She completed her journey calmly at St Peter’s Palliative Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario on April 22nd, 2024, at the age of 84.

Pre-deceased by her husband, Dick W.K. Tso, she is survived by her son Alex and his children. Remembered fondly by cousins both in North America and overseas.

Born in China, seeking refuge in Hong Kong, growing up in Brazil, studying and marrying in America and then moving to Canada, Aline fully appreciated the richness of cultural diversity. Residing in Burlington, Ontario for over 5 decades, she was very active in developing herself and her community. From teaching at elementary school, working to start a Chinese language school, leading a Tai chi/Qigong 18 steps class to volunteering as member of the Sustainable Development Committee for the City of Burlington. She was very proud to be a member of a Citizens group emphasizing the importance of the Environment in the balance of development projects along the Niagara Escarpment and Halton Region.

Throughout her life’s activities, she enjoyed connecting with people and loved the formation and sustainment of many deep friendships. A sincere thank you from her son to all who have continued to call, visit and check in with her over the years.

A private cremation has taken place. Details of Celebration will be announced at a later date. In memory of her love for the natural environment of the region, donations to the David Suzuki Foundation and Bruce Trail Conservancy are appreciated.

Arrangements entrusted to Smith's Funeral Home
