COLANGELO, Michael Joseph “Mike”

February 12, 1928 – May 2, 2024

It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Michael on May 2, 2024 at the age of 96. He is now reunited with his wife Alice (2010). Loving father to Joy (Tony Orr) and Rachelle (Frank Siracusa).  Much loved Grandpa to Dana, Jade and Jakob and Great-Grandpa to Jada. Predeceased by his parents, Luigi and Angelista and siblings Annie, Grace, Tony, Rocky, Joe, Frank, Angelo and their spouses.  Survived by his brother John and John’s wife Barbara.

Michael led a very active life, taking great pride in being a member of the YMCA from the age of 16 right up until Covid. He was also an avid handball player, winning several championships in the sport. Michael enjoyed a long career in management at the Power Fastening Company. Prior to that, he was extremely
proud to have worked on the Avro Arrow Project.

Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of the 401), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 3-5 and 7-9. Funeral Prayers will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 10:00a.m. with interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Toronto.
