Just step off the Coach and you will see why the Kingston and 1000 Islands is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Ontario. The lush woodlands, rocky shoreline, and cobalt blue water filled with 1864 different islands; this area truly lives up to its reputation as a must-see destination. On arrival, we will enjoy a Coach tour of Kingston with a local step on guide while passing some of Kingston’s 21 National Historic sites, museums and finishing the day at a local restaurant. Enjoy a 2-night stay at the Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront, with a hot breakfast included each morning. Sit back and relax on the 1000 Island Sightseeing Lunch or Dinner Cruise, you will be able to take in the breathtaking views of the 1000 Islands. The next day is exciting as we tour Canada’s oldest and most notorious maximum-security prison, Kingston Penitentiary. Visit various areas on the former prison, including cell and segregation ranges, Indigenous Grounds and the Regional Treatment Centre’s Gymnasium featuring a mural dedicated to the inmates and staff at the Penitentiary. *New for 2024, visit Canada’s Penitentiary Museum, built by convicts between 1870 and 1873 as the official Penitentiary Warden’s residence “Cedarhedge”. Also included is shopping at King’s Crossing Outlet Mall and free time to explore!
