BurlingtonToday received the following letter about property tax increases in Burlington.
My 2024 tax bill arrived today and the City of Burlington portion contained a tax increase of (more than) 10 per cent. This is not what I heard from the mayor or council last year. It is over 10 per cent and, no, I haven't had my property reassessed. This is dishonest.
I think this is something that needs to be reported.
Look at your own tax bills for the Burlington portion - not the region or education. Spending is apparently out of control.
