The city of Burlington raised the Black Music Month flag outside of city hall this morning.
Mayor Marianne Meed Ward and Ward 6 councillor Paul Sharman helped raise the flag.

The city added that by celebrating Black Music Month 2024, it acknowledges and recognizes the achievements of all local Black musicians and artists.
Residents of Burlington can request a flag raising on the city website at least 30 days prior to the proposed day of the event.
