Burlington Food Bank receives 15 food packages and a $1,964 donation from the BurlingtonToday Cares: Food Drive. L-R: Ted Lindsay, BurlingtonToday, Robin Bailey, Executive Director, Burlington Food Bank and Michael Fanelli, Store Owner, Michael’s No Frills / BurlingtonToday

Last week, BurlingtonToday asked you, our loyal readers, to join us in supporting the Burlington Food Bank this festive season - and your response was nothing short of extraordinary.

During the holidays, an increased number of people are reliant on our local food bank. This increased need means that the Burlington Food Bank needs our support more than ever.

BurlingtonToday brought our whole community together to help provide that support.

We partnered with Michael's No Frills to offer food packages for purchase through an online pop-up store.

BurlingtonToday and generous local businesses pledged to match every purchase made through the online store, meaning that every purchase was matched four times!

Together, we raised $1,965 for the Burlington Food Bank and delivered 15 food packages, helping to support those who need it most over the holiday season. Thank you!

Special thanks to Michael's No Frills for donating the food packages for this initiative, and to the following businesses who have joined us in matching each donation: QB Sports Bar Grill Games, Brenda McKinley of Realty World Legacy and Liddiard Law.

If you didn't get a chance to participate in this program, we encourage you to send your donation directly to the local food bank. You can donate online, call (905-637-2273) to arrange a donation, or click here for more information on how to give back.
