Thomas Scoccia won $100,000 on OLG's Instant Suit Up.

Thomas Scoccia of Burlington is the latest local OLG lottery winner, taking home a $100,000 top prize with Instant Suit Up.

Scoccia, a 71-year-old retiree, said he’s been a regular lottery player for about 10 years.

“My favourite game is Bingo and $5 Instant tickets. I purchased this ticket because I liked the artwork,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his cheque.

“When I matched the number 20 and saw I won $100,000, I was very surprised. I took the ticket back to the store right away then told my sister. She was surprised too!”

Scoccia said he is still in a state of shock. “I love to play the games and never expected to win the top prize! I am pleasantly surprised.”

He plans to save his winnings for a travel fund. “I owe myself a nice vacation in a warm climate. I will share some with my loved ones as well,” he concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at A&M Market on Lakeshore Road in Burlington.
