Burlington Central Rotary Club is inviting residents to enjoy fresh food and live music at Spencer Smith Park on Friday, Aug. 9, for their Lakeside Under the Stars fundraiser event.
The event, which runs from 7 to 11 p.m., will feature a performance of a variety of classic cover songs from That ‘90s Band and food provided by the Jonny Blonde food truck. Attendees will also be able to purchase drinks from Strewn Winery and Nickelbrook Brewery at the park.
Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Love, Jayne Foundation, which focuses on providing less fortunate children with the funds to pursue their passions. The foundation was formed in memory of Jayne Hounslow, a young girl who passed away in 2023 who always put other people first.
“We are so grateful to the Rotary Club for their support with the Love, Jayne Foundation,” Sarah Hounslow, Jayne’s mother, said in a press release. “ Over the past year, thanks to the overwhelming support and generosity of our community, we have been able to help several children attend summer camps and after-school programs, join sports teams, and participate in extracurricular activities. We are dedicated to helping children pursue their passions and gain confidence and a sense of belonging. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of many and honor Jayne's memory in the most meaningful way. I look forward to seeing everyone for an incredible evening on August 9th.”
Tickets to the Lakeside Under the Stars event cost $54.58 per attendee.
