Ward 3 councillor Rory Nisan has set up a temporary office on Cavendish Drive – the area of Burlington that is thought to have received the worst of last week’s flood – to speak with residents.
Neighbours told him their basements flooded up to the ceiling, boxes of sentimental items, and as much as two-thirds of their homes are damaged by the water.
Nisan urged anyone who has not yet done so to call Halton Region at 311 to report flooding, and to get more information on next steps.
