July 26

Community Night at Nelson Pool - 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. - Nelson Pool

It’s aquafit night at Nelson, and residents are invited to try out this aerobic exercise regime for themselves. 

Community nights at Nelson continue each Friday until August 30.

Music from the Rooftop - 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. - Joseph Brant Museum

Local musician Natalie Reis is taking stage atop Joseph Brant Museum this weekend. This is the second instalment in the Music from the Rooftop series, with each featuring a new artist, lawn games, and complimentary iced tea and popcorn.

Burlington Model Railway Club Public Viewing Sessions - 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Hidden Valley Park

The Burlington Model Railway Club invites guests to the world of tiny trains. Weather permitting, the club will showcase several sizes of model trains. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

July 28

Korean Ships Memorial Service - 11 a.m. - noon - Spencer Smith Park 

The Burl-Oak Naval Veterans are hosting a remembrance service for the 30,000 Canadians who served during the Korean War, as well as the peacekeepers and the 516 Canadian casualties of the war. 

Dignitaries from the Korean Consulate are expected, as are federal, provincial, and municipal representatives.
