We may be new in town, but the BurlingtonToday team has already met many memorable people who have been generous with their time and their stories.
Since our launch on Nov. 1, we have talked with members of city council, Mrs. Claus, business owners, law enforcement officials, volunteers and folks who just had a great tale to tell.
So, before we turn the page on 2022, we’d like to highlight some of our favourite assignments so far.

Central mural an oasis of colour and community engagement
“It is about how we belong to nature, how the flowers are all different and each one is equally beautiful, and how people all should be equally accepting of each other.” - Artist Poonam Sharma describes the meaning behind the mural she created at the Central Recreation Centre.
German bioengineering firm purchases former L3Harris site
“Our company is looking to make change, and is paving the way to a sustainable future locally, regionally, and globally.” - Dr. Hamid Noori, co-founder and Co-CEO of The Cultivated B, which announced its new Burlington location in October.
From the BurlingtonToday team, we wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year. We look forward to telling many more of your stories in 2023.
