DENIS, Laurent Daniel "Larry"

 January 2nd, 1953 - June 23rd, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurent (Larry) Denis, who passed peacefully at home on Sunday, June 23, 2024, in his 71st year.

Larry was born and raised in Welland, Ontario and is predeceased by his parents Eva and Robert Denis. He was a brother to Louis (Nicole), Michelle (Bill) and is predeceased by sister Ginette (Brian). He was also Uncle Larry to many nieces and nephews.

Most importantly, Larry was a loving father to his two sons, Marc and Richard (Katie) and Grand-Papa to his “petite princesse” Elise.

Larry had many friends from many places, including Stelco Steel, Le Club Alouette Laval and many golf buddies from MontHill Golf & Country Club and Chippewa Creek Golf & Country Club to name a few. In the later years of his life, he cherished his friendship with good friend Ron Tustian. An avid sports fan, Larry loved Les Canadiens de Montréal, Hamilton Ti-Cats, Pittsburgh Steelers and sometimes the Toronto Blue Jays, if they weren’t letting him down. He rode his Harley Davidson to bike rallies across North America and enjoyed listening to the Beatles.

As per Larry’s wishes there will be no funeral service; cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, we invite friends and family to make a donation to Joseph Brant Hospital or another charity of your choice. Larry would have been honoured to know that something positive was being done in his name.
