July 13th, 1942 - July 25th, 2024
Passed away at Carpenter Hospice, on July 25, 2024 at the age of 82. Loving mother to Neil, David (Brenda), Lynn (John), and Lori (Cyrus). Cherished grandmother to Natalie, Sarah, Hailey, Jonathan (Kelsey), and Erin (Connor). Great grandmother to Everett, Ivy, Ash, and Angus. Carol will also be missed by her brothers Peter King, Bob and Ernie Baldock. She is predeceased by her sister Betty Scally.
Carol was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and moved to Burlington as a teenager and attended Central High School before marrying John Eldershaw. She was devoted to her family and faith in Jesus Christ. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and a good cup of tea with honey.
The family would like to thank her friends at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church where she has been a congregant for over 40 years and at Lexmoor Apartments. We would also like to express our appreciation for the exceptional care our mother received during her final days at the Carpenter Hospice.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday July 30, 2024 from 12-1 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on the same day at 1 p.m. with reception to follow. Interment will be held at the Burlington Memorial Gardens following the reception. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation in Carol’s memory to The Carpenter Hospice and the Canadian Cancer Society it would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
