STAVELEY, Cynthia Lynair (Kyer)

Our‎ dedicated‎ mother‎ Cynthia‎ Staveley,‎ died‎ peacefully‎ on‎ Sept.‎ 11,‎ 2024‎ at‎ home‎ with‎ her‎ loving‎ husband,‎ Douglas‎ by‎ her‎ side.‎ She‎ was‎ 88.

A‎ caring‎ mother‎ to‎ April‎ Hawtin‎ (Wayne),‎ Roderic‎ Staveley‎ (Carole)‎ and‎ Laura‎ Gordon.

As‎ a‎ wife,‎ mother,‎ sister,‎ aunt,‎ Nana,‎ great-grandmother,‎ and‎ sorority‎ sister‎ she‎ will‎ be‎ deeply‎ missed.‎

Growing‎ up‎ in‎ Cornwall‎ and‎ Sudbury‎ Cyndy‎ chose‎ nursing‎ as‎ her‎ vocation‎ at‎ East‎ General.‎ But‎ her‎ calling‎ was‎ to‎ raise‎ 3‎ children‎ and‎ make‎ a‎ home‎ for‎ her‎ family.

A‎ generous‎ soul‎ and‎ a‎ passionate‎ member‎ of‎ many‎ charitable‎ and‎ life‎ changing‎ causes,‎ Cyndy‎ was‎ involved‎ in‎ so‎ many‎ acts‎ of‎ good‎ will.

We‎ will‎ be‎ gathering‎ to‎ share‎ our‎ stories‎ on‎ Wednesday, September‎ 25‎ at‎ 1 p.m. SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight North of the QEW). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Juravinski Hospital , or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Our mother loved colour, please feel free to wear colour.
