Burlington's City Hall entrance and Civic Square will be refurbished as part of the Civic Square Renewal Project.

Downtown Burlington is getting a face lift, and residents are invited to take a walking tour of Ward 2 to learn about what the city is planning for future developments.

The Ward 2 Walking Tour will be held hosted by Ward 2 councillor Lisa Kearns on Saturday, July 6, at 1 p.m., and start at the No Frills parking lot at 571 Brant St.

Residents can learn about the Civic Square Renewal Project, which is a plan to renovate Burlington’s Civic Square and City Hall entrance to be more pedestrian-friendly and a better location for events and festivals.

The length of the tour will vary based on how many questions are asked and how much time is spent at each spot.
