A 26-year-old man from Hamilton was arrested at the Appleby and Dundas Winners/Homesense on April 24.
The man attempted to steal approximately $550 worth of items from the store, and was arrested after being found near the store at about 1:30 p.m. He was putting items into a bag and left without paying.
The man was charged with theft under $5,000.
Incidents of shoplifting are getting more common at this location, with more reports in the last 12 months than any time prior.
