Candidate background

Letter Carrier with Canada Post, former Motion Graphics Designer.

Political/leadership experience

Volunteer work, political event organizing, candidate for HDSB Trustee in October 2022.

Why are you running?

I’ve always had an interest in serving my community through public service. I decided to run for trustee in October and again in this by-election so I can be a voice for constituents and fellow parents alike and impact decisions that directly affect my children.

What do you see as the key challenges facing HDSB?

One of the key challenges Wards 1 and 2 are facing is the current boundary reviews taking place. The HDSB and the Boundary Review Committee are making efforts to alleviate overcrowding in schools, and some students are being relocated. While many options are being considered, some constituents have been negatively impacted.

If elected, what would be your top priority?

My top priority for trustee will always be keeping student safety paramount. I believe there’s more work that can be done to add to the current systems in place to provide a safe learning environment for our students.

Why should residents vote for you?

Everything I do, no matter what it may be, I put 100 per cent into it. I’m completely devoted to making positive change within the HDSB and helping constituents in Wards 1 and 2 with any of their concerns regarding the education of their children. Public servants should be honest and accessible. Those are two defining qualities I bring to the table.

Online voting in the Ward 1-2 trustee by-election is May 15-19. Advance polls will be held Wednesday, May 24 and election day is Monday, May 29. Find out more on the HDSB website.
