November 26th, 1927 - January 25th, 2024

Our beloved matriarch closed her weary eyes – and when she opened them, we know she was in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mom was the center of our family much loved, adored and respected. Born in Montreal beloved only child of Winnie 1904-1970 & John Rogers 1891-1945. Wife of the late James (Jimmy) Arthur 1927-2014. Loving mother to Debbie (Hawkins)& Cheryl (O’Neill), favorite mother-in-law of Paul &Brian. Beloved confident & the best grandmother to Kristen (Shane), Kaylan (Dustin), Brendan (Ae), Dane (Ema), Taylor (Adam). Doting GG to Connor, Kenzie, Sydney, Scarlett, Oliver, Lola and R.J.

A proud fourth generation Salvationist promoted to glory-January 25,2024. Her love of Gospel music and natural alto voice was something we will never forget. A much-admired Sunday School leader for many years at The Rosemount Corp- Montreal. She was a Girl Guide leader from ages 17-42. An original member of the first Ladies softball league in Burlington. Much ahead of her time she worked fulltime from age 16 to her retirement from her final job at Murray Labs. There will be an empty chair in our home during the holidays and Mom’s gift of saying grace cannot be replaced.

Mom and Dad together again having a Timmies in heaven where the coffee is always hot and fresh .. well it better be or she will be sending it back!

We as a family cannot express how much we appreciate the care, love and support she received as a resident of Tansley Woods LTC April 18, 2011, until her passing. She truly called it her home! I would mention the names of all the Admin, Nurses, PSW and Kitchen and Cleaning staff that made moms final years memorable - but too many to list. She received a heartfelt walk of honor from her Tansley “Family”. As per Moms wishes “O Boundless Salvation” played her out.

Celebration Of Life will be held at Tansley Woods date TBD.

Donations can be made to The Salvation Army.

Arrangements entrusted to Smith's Funeral Home
